We were invited to a dinner party recently where we over-heard a guest chatting on art. He told his dinner companion that Matise art is Junk. What is one to say to such a comment, my lovelies? Ah. I know. Had Barbara von Enger been present she would have replied: We are not being true to the artist as a man if we consider his art work junk simply because we differ with his outlook on life.

After a good dinner one can forgive anyone

Saturday evening's supper: Pan-cooked brussel sprouts with green garlic served alongside grilled lamb chops and Couscous. It was the most perfect party - dinner, dancing, laughter and friends. What more does a girl want...?

Dance and sing your song while the music is still on

We are drawn to this thought-provoking quote by Merce Cunningham below.
"You have to love dancing to stick to it. It gives you nothing back, no manuscripts to store away, no paintings to show on walls and maybe hang in museums, no poems to be printed and sold, nothing but that single fleeting moment when you feel alive" - Merce Cunningham. Yes. We agree - Dancing gives nothing back except for the feeling of bliss in that moment of dance.

Barbara von Enger gave a cocktail reception and dinner party at her Atelier last week, and we must confess we have never seen anyone dance so beautifully by the light of the moon( Barbara, we had no idea you were so well versed in dancing).

Thank you, Barbara, for having invited us. We enjoyed the dinner, yes, couldn't help ourselves, the oxtail was too delicious and the wine, oh, the wine!
