Afterthoughts on Figures & Fictions: Contemporary South African Photography

In February we were invited to hear Tamar Garb speak on  “Afterthoughts on Figures & Fictions: Contemporary South African Photography” at the Ruskin School of Fine Art, Oxford, England.

Garb graduated from the Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Cape Town with a BA (Art) magna cum laude in 1978. In 1980 she was awarded an MA in Art Education from the Institute of Education, University of London and holds both an MA in Art History and a PhD from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London.
