The photographer discloses a moment...

The above photograph exposes something essential about Barbara's sense of dress. Here she's photographed leaving her studio in Milan. Please don't ask us the name of the brands Barbara is wearing. She's is a painter not a fashionista.

 From the facial expression we assume this picture was taken  unbeknownst to her. What we like about this photo? It captures an intimate unposed moment which is gone forever, impossible to reproduce.. Click on picture to enlarge. Image: Barbara von Enger in Milan Via

 To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt - Susan Sontag.
