Room service? Send up a larger studio

Image: Barbara von Enger's studio this a.m. Barbara is thinking of expanding her studio in Gstaad.

On the other hand, she tells me she cannot seem to get the following quote by Leonardo da Vinci from her mind: "An artist's studio should be a small space because small rooms discipline the mind and large ones distract it." - I agree with the quote though I cannot paint myself.

Winter has made a comeback. It's snowing outside my lovelies. Aren't you anxiously awaiting Spring? Here's a lovely poem by Rainer Maria Rilke, Early Spring below:

Harshness vanished. A sudden softness
has replaced the meadows' wintry grey.
Little rivulets of water changed
their singing accents. Tendernesses,

hesitantly, reach toward the earth
from space, and country lanes are showing
these unexpected subtle risings
that find expression in the empty trees.
