It has a bubble-gum quality - chewable, but not digestible.
Art critics are surprised at how diverse my creativity is.
You see. What they fail to realise is this: Chewable, not digestible.

I am Jamaican, very graphic, out of many one.
Am asking myself how do they expect my art not to be out of many one diverse people? You might mock me, tear me down, but you can never take away my dignity, my creativity.
I have the very graphic, uncurtained nerve of Jamaica in my gut. Chewable, not digestible. You cannot get rid of me. I am the undead.
'I have been attacked for having thoughts/ideas which certain members of the public cannot bear to hear. You see. I am a Jamaican artist with a social and anti-social imagination, which rarely behaves as it ought to. So, don't blame me for my imagination - I was born with an unruly internal editor, just like Bob Marley.' - Words by Jamaican artist/painter Barbara Matthews von Enger.

I seriously think one ought to be prosecuted for performing cultural theft. Shame on you, Marc Jacobs, do you not know the history of the Bantu Knots, ah, you thought you could get away with this? If you are going to borrow something from another culture you must always credit said culture, otherwise its seen as an abuse of culture.

At Marc Jacobs show, his models wore Bantu Knots and re-named them mini buns. Mr Jacobs, I take it you are already familiar with the history of the Bantu Knots, are you not? African women have been wearing Bantu knots since ancient times, it dates as far back as the Zulu tribes. Please stop abusing the African/Black/West Indian culture. Nuff said. For example, if Lil Wayne and Drake rap about "bitches" it simply means that women behave like "bitches" in their immediate society. Isn't this what art is about? The artist creates first and foremost only for himself, and trust the public accepts it. Have always wondered why do people find it repulsive when the artist hold a mirror up to society?
